I am a retired SPED teacher. I have a private practice tutoring home-schooled students. I have one young man (age 13) who wants to earn his GED. I am in the process of helping his parents with research on how this would work. He has not been in a public or private school. I have administered the WRAT4 assessment, so some scores concern me. I believe he has had a learning disability since he was a student who had been exposed to some toxic fumes, which has caused him not to remember things very quickly. He also has high anxiety.

I would like to know exactly what he needs to study in Social Studies and Language Arts. His father will be helping him with science and math.
